Curtis B. Pickert, M.D.

Curtis B. Pickert, M.D., joined Mednax in 2009 and was appointed President of the Clinical Services Division in 2017. In that role, he is responsible for clinical quality, safety, research and education, the technology experience of our clinicians and related data collection, and various other reporting functions for all clinical care across the organization. Previously, Dr. Pickert served as Chief Medical Officer of the Western Division in 2015 and Vice President of the Midwest Region between 2014 and 2015. From 2009 to 2013, Dr. Pickert held various progressive roles, serving as Director of Hospital-Based Pediatric Services for the Company’s Pediatrix Division, Chief of Medical Services and the Medical Director of Pediatrics and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cottage Children’s Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

Dr. Pickert earned his medical degree and completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Kansas (Kansas City and Wichita). He received fellowship training in pediatric hematology and oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Memphis, Tennessee) before completing a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. He is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine.
