The collaborative efforts of our national, regional, and local teams support the unique program Pediatrix Newborn Hearing Screen provides to parents, the community, and partnering hospitals.

Our data management system helps us maintain and monitor program quality benchmarks, such as refer rates/false positives, identification of babies who have hearing loss, and capture rate.

We maintain newborn hearing screen protocols, policies, procedures, and observe TJC and hospital requirements. We also follow HIPAA, OSHA, and JCIH guidelines, and comply with state reporting requirements, guidelines, and certifications.

One facet of our educational approach has the parent in mind. Our on-site hearing screener will provide parents with education about the hearing screen process and the importance of hearing health.

All Pediatrix Newborn Hearing Screens are performed with this technology, the only type that can identify auditory neuropathy.

From initial contact with families to obtaining a final outcome, a dedicated team of Pediatrix care coordinators work to facilitate follow-up by providing care coordination between primary care providers(s) and diagnostic audiology facilities.
