MEDNAX-affiliated pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Samori Cummings, of TriStar Centennial Children’s Hospital in Nashville, addresses the stress brought on by watching an intense hockey game, and the possibility of it leading to a heart attack. “When penalty kills are coming up or you’re getting close to the end and they’re pulling the goalie, that’s when that adrenaline will rise when you’re watching hockey and there is a slightly higher chance of actually having a heart attack,” said Cummings.
