After several years of trying for a baby, Larisa and Bryan Stur were delighted to find out they were expecting. However, their joy was quickly underscored when their unborn baby boy was diagnosed with a rare, complex heart defect. The heartbroken parents were told their baby might not survive. Fortunately, baby Stur pulled through but immediate heart surgery was imminent. The clinicians at Rocky Mountain Hospital in Denver, CO, a part of the MEDNAX national group, comforted the family before surgery and got to work on mending several broken hearts. The surgery was a success and baby Stur has made his way home.
