Tucker’s mom shares how doctors at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center and The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial, including MEDNAX-affiliated pediatric surgeon, Dr. Stephen Morrow, teamed up to provide life-saving cancer care to her son, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma as an infant. Tucker’s treatment plan consisted of chemotherapy, surgery to remove the mass and highly targeted radiation. “We put these little catheters in there so they could deliver the radiation very precisely to where the tumor used to be without hurting the other healthy tissues,” said Morrow. He is now in full remission.
