I tell people all the time-- it’s my dream job! I was initially drawn to the hospital to be closer to home, but I also saw potential and many opportunities to grow the program. The hospital was already developing its child health initiatives, work in food insecurity and homelessness, and child development programs. I felt it was a place where you could see the impact of the good you were doing.

I have been a neonatologist with Mednax for 15 years. It is very rewarding to care for neonates and their families during their journey through the NICU. I am constantly honored to work with a fantastic Mednax team in the Seattle area, not only in neonatology, but also maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric cardiology and ophthalmology. As a team, we collaborate to always improve and provide the highest level of care to every patient and family every day, and this mission motivates me each day.

I'm passionate about pediatric infectious disease because it's constantly changing. There are new or resistant infections and different infections appear in news media with different seasons. Prevention is a big part of infectious disease, and I appreciate talking with patients and families on how they can prevent some of these serious diseases.
