David J. Salama, MD
Corporate Medical Director
Dr. Salama has spent his career working in a variety of settings and has been in practice over 28 years. Prior to his move to Charlotte 20 years ago, Dr. Salama was affiliated with Lakeland Surgical and Diagnostic Center in Florida serving as the Anesthesia Medical Director. As an Anesthesiologist with Watson Clinic, he also served as Anesthesia Department Chairman for Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
In addition to providing anesthesia care, Dr. Salama has also been an instructor with the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Atrium Health teaching ‘Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia.’ Dr. Salama received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. His residency in anesthesia was completed at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Along with his current role as Corporate Medical Director for American Anesthesiology of the Southeast, he also practices anesthesiology fulltime and serves as the Medical Director at Mallard Creek Surgery Center.When not taking care of patients, Dr. Salama enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, lake life, and working on (and driving) race cars.
Robin Y. Amos, RT-R, MSML
Robin has over 25 years in health care and brings varying range of experience in the clinical and practice operations to American Anesthesiology of the Southeast. Robin received her associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Forsyth Technical Community College with an additional year of studies in cardiac catheterization at Wake Forest Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Care Administration from Gardner-Web University and her master’s degree in management and leadership from Montreat College. Prior to joining American Anesthesiology of the Southeast, Robin served in various clinical and leadership positions with Novant Health and OrthoCarolina, most recently as the Administrator for the Mallard Creek Surgery Center in Charlotte.
