Dr. Potter is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in maternal-fetal medicine and OB/GYN. He received his medical degree from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University in 1976. He completed his OB/GYN residency in 1980 at the University of Louisville and his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Duke University in 1982.
Dr. Potter was the Director of Obstetrics at the Perinatal Center of Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, for nine years, during which time he was elected President of the Cincinnati Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1991 he became the Director of the Division of Perinatal Services with Atlanta Medical Center as well as the Medical Director of Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Center of Atlanta.
