Prior to earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University, Deb McGee was a Labor and Delivery nurse for 20 years. In 1992, after completing the Perinatal Nurse Practitioner (PNNP) emphasis of the master’s program, she practiced as an inpatient Perinatal Nurse Practitioner before joining Obstetrix Medical Group in that role in 2002. Deb earned her National Certification Corporation certification as an Inpatient Obstetrical Nurse in 1989 and acquired her Critical Care Obstetrics Certification through Vanderbilt University in 1993. In 2000, Deb added Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to her list of qualifications.
Deb worked for ten years as Affiliate Faculty for the Regis University Master of Science in Nursing Program. She published numerous articles in peer-reviewed nursing journals in the areas of high-risk obstetrics, ultrasound, and professional topics, as well as authoring chapters in nursing textbooks. She held a seat on the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing editorial review board for 16 years.
Deb’s outside interests include photography, gardening, travel, and spending time with family.
