Michelle Eppers is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. After completing her Associate Degree in Nursing from San Jacinto Junior College in 1999, she continued her education while gaining experience as a staff nurse. She was selected as a nursing intern for Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center campus shortly after graduation. While working in that high risk obstetrical nursing unit, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 2001. Her experience at Memorial Hermann included caring for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, surgery, gynecological and triage patients. Michelle obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center in August 2011. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International-Zeta Pi Chapter in 2009. She continued her career with Memorial Hermann serving as an Education Resource Specialist during graduate school. She was responsible for training new graduate RNs, experienced RNs, while developing policy, protocols, and continuing education for existing staff. In 2009 Michelle was honored by The Good Samaritan Foundation at their annual Gala. Two of her superiors authored a nomination for her and she was selected from 150 nominees in the Houston area. She was awarded the Gold for Nursing Education-Clinician. Michelle was the first to be awarded in this category. Michelle has served as clinical adjunct faculty for Texas Women’s University, developing and supervising undergraduate nursing students during their obstetrical clinical rotations. Michelle has spent the last five years serving as a Nurse Practitioner for a very busy OB/GYN office in the Medial Center. She is excited to join the Obstetrix team. When Michelle is not in the office, she enjoys running and gardening and spending time with her sons and her husband.
