Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Associates, an affiliate of Pediatrix Cardiology, has served patients in Texas for more than 30 years, and we are proud of our growing reputation as a Center for Excellence.
We have a long history of growth and program development, including our partnership with Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Dell Medical School Heart Program, which forms the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease. Through this powerhouse collaboration, our patients have local access to a world-renowned team of specialists in surgery and research, with a focus on quality, safety, and exceptional outcomes for the thousands of patients we serve each year.
Through our local and regional outpatient practices and our longstanding affiliations with the University of Texas Dell Medical School, Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, the Ascension/Seton Healthcare Family, St. David’s Hospital of Texas/HCA, and other academic and hospital partners, we care for patients in Austin, throughout Central Texas, and beyond. We take pride in prompt service to families and rapid feedback to referring physicians. We recognize that a potential cardiac diagnosis in a child is anxiety provoking and believe in providing exceptional, timely, and personal care close to home.
Our team of board-certified pediatric cardiologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, cardiac sonographers, and medical staff work together to provide treatment and management across the full range of fetal, neonatal, pediatric, and adult congenital cardiovascular conditions.
Our comprehensive programs include
• General pediatric cardiology
• Adult congenital heart disease (ACHD)
• Fetal Cardiology
• Invasive Cardiology
• Electrophysiology (EP)
• Advance Cardiac Imaging
• Preventive Cardiology
• Heart failure & cardiomyopathy (heart transplantation and heart muscle disease)
Our practice is pleased to offer telehealth services, powered by VSee, which applies technology to enhance the patient/provider relationship when it makes sense to help you and your families.
Telehealth does not replace all in-person visits, but it can be used for appointments such as:
- Initial consolations (to get to know you and your families’ history and needs)
- Certain follow-ups (such as discussing results)
- Determining when an in-person visit is required
This easy-to-use, HIPAA-protected technology lets you connect with your doctor without have to leave your home, take time off of work or get behind the wheel. A virtual appointment works much like an in-office visit, where you will be greeted by our staff through a video conference to check-in and go through your vitals, then meet face-to-face with your physician or other provider.
You just need a computer or smart phone, and an email address or phone number where we can send the appointment link to join. If you have questions, we have demos available to help you become more familiar with how it all works, and our friendly staff is always at your service to answer questions.
COVID-19: During the peak of the COVID-19, telehealth was critical to helping our patients determine if an in-person office visit was immediately required, which promoted safety for all of patients and allowed in-office visits to be used for those patients requiring the most critical care. Moving forward, telehealth will allow us to continue to optimize office visits for all patients, supported by remote monitor tools, to honor social distancing guidelines for your safety.
