Dr. Michael LaCorte is a native of New York City. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens College in New York. He then attended New York University School of Medicine and subsequently did his pediatric residency at NYU-Bellevue and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Boston. Dr. LaCorte subsequently served as Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at North Shore University Hospital in New York and Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. He most recently was Assistant Chief of Staff at Cohen Children's Medical Center of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.

Dr. LaCorte relocated to Naples Florida and joined PCA in January 2012. His academic appointments include Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at SUNY Downstate, NYU School of Medicine, and Weil-Cornell Medical School. In addition to an MD degree he has a Masters in Health Policy and Administration from the Wagner School of NYU. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. His interests are ambulatory pediatric cardiology and echocardiography. He lives in North Naples with his wife Meena, a neonatologist, and has 8 wonderful grandchildren.
