Dr. Ratner, board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine, has been practicing neonatology in Dallas since 1984. He received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He completed his neonatal-perinatal fellowship training at the Children's Hospital in Denver. Dr. Ratner was Chairman and Chief Medical Officer for Magella Healthcare, Inc. at the time of its merger with Pediatrix Medical Group, a MEDNAX company, and also served as a member on the Pediatrix Medical Group Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the Texas Committee of Fetus and Newborn. Dr. Ratner is married with four children.
