Dr. Abhay Divekar is a board certified pediatric and adult congenital cardiologist who joined the Rocky Mountain Pediatric Cardiology team in 2018. He received his medical degree at the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, University of Bombay, India. Dr. Divekar completed his pediatric residency at Seth G.S. Medical College, Bombay, India and The Brooklyn Hospital Center, New York. Dr. Divekar began his fellowship in pediatric cardiology in 1998 at NYU Medical Center, New York and an advanced fellowship in pediatric interventional catheterization and cardiac critical care at the C S Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan. Dr. Divekar has authored multiple scientific publications and has been invited to lecture at both national and international conferences. He holds a US patent (US 20140081240A1) for method of delivering vectors to pancreas and lungs by cannulating the aorta. Dr. Divekar Chairs the ACHD Committee for the Colorado Chapter of American College of Cardiology and is a committee member for the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions CHD Council. Dr. Divekar’s hobbies include RV trips with his family, and carpentry. He is fluent in Marathi and Hindi.
